Events by Month

Black History Month (Throughout February) – Each February, Black History Month honors the achievements and contributions of African Americans to the country. You can celebrate throughout the Denver metro area with lectures, dramatic performances, music and more.

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE (Feb. 3–May 5, 2024) – After having fascinated 300,000 visitors around the world, Space Explorers: THE INFINITE lands in Denver, featuring new content captured in space, promising an otherworldly adventure! 

'CHICAGO' (Thru Feb. 4, 2024) – After 25 years, CHICAGO is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz, with one show-stopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen. No wonder CHICAGO has been honored with 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations.

Monster Jam (Feb. 9–11, 2024) – Experience full-throttle family fun where the world's best drivers and their 12,000-pound monster trucks tear up the dirt in wide-open competitions of speed and skill. 

'Message in a Bottle' (Feb. 13–25, 2024) – A spectacular new dance-theatre show from triple-Olivier Award nominee, Kate Prince, was inspired by and set to the iconic hits of 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist Sting, including "Every Breath You Take," "Roxanne," "Walking on the Moon" and more.

Cowboy (Thru Feb. 18, 2024) – This exhibition speaks to the MCA Denver's (Museum of Contemporary Art Denver's) ambition to challenge, revise and reconceive how such a myth originated and might be probed in exciting, courageous and nuanced ways. It brings together loans and new commissions from 27 artists representing a wide range of perspectives, including Asian American, Latinx and Native American/Indigenous.

Golden Legacy: Original Art from 80 Years of Golden Books (Thru Feb. 18, 2024) – Whimsical children’s book illustrations highlight animals and nature as a source of love, wonder and joy. Featuring more than 30 framed illustrations from the Little Golden Books series, vintage books and a reading nook, Golden Legacy at Denver Botanic Gardens showcases works from some of the best-known children’s books of the past 80 years, including "The Poky Little Puppy," illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren, and Chicken Little, illustrated by Richard Scarry.

Have a Seat: Mexican Chair Design Today (Feb. 18–Nov. 3, 2024) – This interactive exhibition features three historical artworks, 17 contemporary seats designed by 22 Mexican artists and a site-specific art installation.

Amoako Boafo: Soul of Black Folks (Thru Feb. 19, 2024) – This is the debut solo exhibition for Ghanaian artist Amoako Boafo at Denver Art Museum. It features more than 30 works the artist created between 2016 and 2022 that tells stories about the beauty and complexity of Black life.

Jon Batiste (Feb. 20, 2024) – Don't miss the UNEASY tour live at the Paramount Theatre from this multi-Grammy Award-winner.

George Lopez (Feb. 24, 2024) – The comedy legend is returning with the Alllriiiighhttt tour at the Paramount Theatre! 

'The Wizard of Oz in Concert' (March 2–3, 2024) – Witness this American classic like never before with the full score performed live by the Colorado Symphony.

All Stars: American Artists from The Phillips Collection (Thru March 3, 2024) – The Phillips Collection showcases some of the best American art from one of the most celebrated collections in the United States. At Denver Art Museum, see landmark works by more than 50 artists, including Jackson Pollock, Georgia O’Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence, Childe Hassam and more!

Nicki Minaj (March 3, 2024) – See the Pink Friday 2 world tour live at Ball Arena.

Cirque du Soleil: Crystal (March 13–17, 2024) – It's more than an ice show. For the first time, Cirque du Soleil pushes the boundaries of performance, redefining the artistic possibilities of ice at Ball Arena.

'Shrek the Musical' (March 14–17, 2024) – And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Yes, your favorite ogre is back in the hilarious stage spectacle based on the Oscar-winning, smash hit, DreamWorks animated film.

Denver March Powwow (March 15–17, 2024) – Since 1984, the heritage of American Indians has been celebrated at the Denver March Powwow, one of the largest events of its kind in the country. The powwow features more than 1,600 dancers from close to 100 tribes from 38 states and three Canadian provinces. The three-day event in the Denver Coliseum is packed with singing, dancing, storytelling, food, art and more, ensuring a wonderful experience for everyone.

Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade (March 16, 2024) – Denver is the place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a parade and tons of other ways to celebrate Irish culture.

Madonna - The Celebration Tour (March 19, 2024)  The legendary singer and performer is coming to Ball Arena. 

Bad Bunny (March 20, 2024) See the Most Wanted Tour at Ball Arena. 

Tim McGraw (April 4, 2024) – The country legend will be performing live with Carly Pearce at Ball Arena.

Nathaniel Rateliff Presents a Night of Leonard Cohen (April 5–6, 2024) – One of the most fascinating and enigmatic singer/songwriters of the late 1960s, Leonard Cohen developed a massive following across six decades of music-making. Denver singer/songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff joins the Colorado Symphony, blending his folk, Americana, and vintage rhythm and blues influences with Cohen’s timeless lyrics for a collaboration six decades in the making.

Peter Frampton (April 7, 2024) – It's the Never Ever Say Never tour live at Mission Ballroom.

Wild Color (Thru April 7, 2024) – Delve into the color spectrum like never before as you make your way through immersive rooms, each representing a color of the rainbow. Discover some of the brightest and boldest examples from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s collections — alongside experiences designed to awaken your senses. Anywhere you look in nature, color holds meaning. It evokes emotion, signals alarm, and creates disguise and illusion. In this special exhibition, you’ll learn how to decode the hidden messages that different colors can send. Then, explore some of nature’s mysteries that are hidden in plain sight.

An Evening with John Cusack and Screening of 'Say Anything' (April 12, 2024) – The popular actor will be discussing this fan-favorite movie that he starred in back in 1989.

420 On The Rocks: Wiz Khalifa & Flatbush Zombies (April 20, 2024) – Plus, you'll see Earthgang, Chevy Woods and DJ Bonics live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. 

SeriesFest: Season 10 (May 1–5, 2024) – SeriesFest is an award-winning festival dedicated to showcasing the best and boldest in episodic storytelling from around the world.

Spotlight: Inside Collections Care and Conservation (Thru May 5, 2024) – This unique exhibition highlights how the Clyfford Still Museum stewards and preserves its collections for future generations through careful display; scientific and historical research; and art conservation. The show is organized chronologically, providing visitors with a thorough overview of Clyfford Still’s 60-year career and includes never-before-seen works.

Yo-Yo Ma with the Colorado Symphony (May 5, 2024) – Multi-Grammy Award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma returns to perform Elgar’s renowned Cello Concerto with the Colorado Symphony. Yo-Yo Ma’s multifaceted career is a testament to his continual search for new ways to communicate with audiences, and to his personal desire for artistic growth and renewal.

Denver Cinco de Mayo Festival (TBA) – A weekend filled with food, fun and culture, Denver’s Cinco de Mayo "Celebrate Culture" Festival puts the spotlight on The Mile High City’s vibrant Latino population. With more than 400,000 attendees expected, it’s one of Denver's most fun and family-friendly events.

Colfax Marathon (May 18–19, 2024) – The Colfax Marathon weekend is the largest marathon weekend in the Rocky Mountains with 20,000 runners in 2019. Races include a marathon, half marathon, urban 10 miler and a 5K. 

Needtobreathe (May 19, 2024) – It's the Caves World tour with Judah & The Lion live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. 

Denver Day of Rock (TBA) – This free music festival features four stages of live music in LoDo/downtown Denver. The event unites the community through music and family-friendly entertainment while also raising funds to help Amp the Cause, which supports local non-profits.

Brit Floyd (June 6, 2024) – This coming summer marks an important milestone for the world’s greatest Pink Floyd experience. This tour will present their biggest show to date, with a stunning new three-hour musical, light and video journey capturing everyone’s favorite Pink Floyd moments from one of the most outstanding and enduring catalogs in the history of rock music. 

Sarah McLachlan (June 7, 2024) See this Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters (June 8, 2024) See this homegrown Colorado band perform with the Wallflowers live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Five Points Jazz Festival (TBA) – This free festival celebrates the history of Denver's Five Points neighborhood. Once known as the Harlem of the West, Five Points was home to several jazz clubs that played host to many of jazz music's legends such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and many more. The festival features a diverse lineup of music, from Latin to blues to funk and many other styles of jazz.

Zach Bryan (June 14–15, 2024) – The Quittin Time Tour with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow, The War And Treaty, Mt. Joy, Sierra Ferrell, The Middle East, Matt Maeson, Levi Turner and SunDown47 live for two nights at Empower Field at Mile High!

Juneteenth Music Festival (TBA) – Celebrate with a parade, live performances, art, vendors and fun for the entire family. Don’t miss the interactive and educational programming at acclaimed African American cultural institutions and landmarks.

Cherry Blossom Festival (TBA) – Fans of taiko drumming, teriyaki chicken, sake and Japanese artwork won't want to miss this annual festival in Sakura Square. 

Steve Martin and Martin Short (June 14, 2024) – Don't miss the comedy duo live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre along with Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko.

'Disney's Frozen' (June 19–July 3, 2024) – Heralded by The New Yorker as “thrilling” and “genuinely moving,” Frozen features the songs you know and love from the original Oscar-winning film, plus an expanded score with a dozen new numbers by the film’s songwriters.

The Rolling Stones (June 20, 2024) – Yep, they're still going strong. See these legends at Empower Field at Mile High.

Foreigner & Styx (June 25, 2024) – It's a blast from the past at Ball Arena with help from the Renegades and Juke Box Heroes. 

New Kids on the Block (June 28, 2024) – They're still Hangin' Tough. See one of the top boy bands at Ball Arena. 

Denver PrideFest (TBA) – This two-day celebration of community and culture is welcoming, inclusive and fun for all attendees, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. There’s also a parade and 5K (run, walk, roll or sashay).

Fan Expo (TBA) – Experience the ultimate playground for comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming. Enjoy three big days of citywide events, family-friendly attractions and world-renowned celebrities. 

Cherry Creek Arts Festival (July 5–7, 2024) – The annual festival fills the streets of Cherry Creek North with more than 250 juried artists ready to share their talent with the world. Expect plenty of live music, kids’ activities, art, information about art education, food and more.

Colorado Black Arts Festival (TBA) – Celebrate African American art and culture. It's a Colorado experience like no other in historic Denver City Park West.

Hootie & The Blowfish (July 10, 2024) – See the 1990s iconic band (but still generating new music) along with Collective Soul and Edwin McCain live at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre.

Revolt 1680/2180: Runners + Gliders (Thru July 14, 2024) – Transport yourself to the year 2180 at History Colorado Center's new multi-sensory exhibition. Created in partnership with world-renowned artist Virgil Ortiz, a visionary hailing from Cochiti Pueblo, this unprecedented experience brings Indigenous Futurism to The Mile High City through a combination of history, science fiction, art, fashion and fantasy.

Killer Queen (July 16, 2024) – The music of Queen continues to inspire generations of young and old fans through their infectious rock songs played in numerous films and the Broadway musical, "We Will Rock You." Don't miss this tribute band at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. 

'Wicked' (July 24–Aug. 25, 2024) – This Broadway sensation looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked.”

Underground Music Showcase (July 26–28, 2024) – Denver’s favorite music festival returns with an incredible lineup of artists to discover!

Olivia Rodrigo (July 30, 2024) – The world tour is coming to Ball Arena! 

Alanis Morissette (July 31, 2024) – With lots of Grammy Awards, among others, and a career that has spanned several decades, she's ready to dazzle Ball Arena.

Foo Fighters (Aug. 3, 2024) – It's the Everything or Nothing at All Tour with the Pretenders at Empower Field at Mile High. 

2024 BMW Championship (Aug. 20–24, 2024) – It's the penultimate event of the PGA Tour's FedExCup Playoffs, featuring a field of the top 50 players in the FedExCup standings. All proceeds from the BMW Championship will benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation and its mission of awarding full tuition and housing college scholarships to caddies.

Gregory Alan Isakov (Sept. 1–2, 2024) – This locals' favorite will be performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for two nights. 

Def Leppard / Journey (Sept. 8, 2024) – It's the ultimate 80s smash! See these two mega-bands along with the Steve Miller Band live at Coors Field!

National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15, 2024) – Each year, Americans celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Great American Beer Festival (TBA) – GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served in a public tasting event plus a private competition. GABF brings together the brewers and diverse beers that make the U.S. the world's greatest brewing nation.

Rodeo All-Star Weekend  (TBA) – It's the ultimate pro rodeo competition with all-star contestants from around the globe.

Denver Film Festival (TBA) – The 46th Denver Film Festival is a 10-day festival bringing international cinema, filmmakers, virtual reality, immersive experiences and creative conversations to Colorado. The Denver Film Festival takes place at four primary locations throughout the city of Denver, with dozens of locations hosting pop-up events to engage audiences in the Denver and Aurora Metro areas, as well as greater Colorado and its surrounding states.

Denver Arts Week (TBA) –  Explore vibrant art districts, check out museum exhibitions and outdoor sculptures, indulge in the performing arts, be inspired at film and literary events, and even buy some art of your own! Denver Arts Week will kick off on Nov. 3, with expanded First Friday Art Walks across the city’s creative neighborhoods, followed by the free Night at the Museums on Saturday, Nov. 4, when many of Denver’s top cultural institutions will be open for free.

Winter Warriors: The 10th Mountain Division in World War II (Thru Nov. 12, 2024) – Using photos, video and first-hand personal accounts from the troops themselves, the newly constructed marquee exhibition gallery at the History Colorado Center explores the history of the U.S. Army's first winter warfare division from its training at Camp Hale in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains through their crucial breakthrough against the Nazi German Army in the mountains of Italy.

Mile High Holidays (Thru Jan. 1, 2024) – This holiday season, Denver will twinkle with millions of lights all across the city. Feel the warmth of family-friendly performing arts classics, find the perfect gifts and marvel at elaborate lights displays. No other city creates holiday miracles quite like Denver. Mile High Holidays has something for everyone.
